What You Need to Know

Where are you located?

I am based in a studio called L1 Electric Tattoo Co. (formerly L1 Ink)

We are 2 minutes from The Met Quarter, next door to The Richmond Pub/Hotel and above Tranquil Hair and Beauty

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, whilst I will do walk-ins if I'm quiet, I'd always recommend booking in

​

Bookings will always take priority.

What is your jewellery sales policy?

Jewellery can not be returned or exchanged for hygiene purposes.

 

Please DO NOT purchase jewellery if you do not know what size you need as it cannot be exchanged for this reason.

 

If purchasing jewellery online in our webstore, please do not attempt to change your own piercing at home if you aren’t 100% confident in doing that - you can keep the item in it’s packaging and pop in for a jewellery change.

All jewellery purchased from me, either online or in store, is guaranteed for life from defects by the manufacturers.

​

If an item develops a fault it will need to be sent back to the manufacturer for them to determine the issue.

​

Repair and replace, the aim is within 16 weeks. This is not a set time, the companies do their repairs or replacements in order of receiving them. Ultimately, it takes as long as it takes.

​

There is not usually a repair charge but a repair fee may be charged by the jewellery manufacturer if on inspection the piece has clearly been mishandled i.e. if tools have been used on the item.

 

We will not replace your jewellery if you lose it.

What is your refund policy?

All jewellery sales are final as they cannot be resold for hygiene purposes, no refunds are given.

 

All piercings are done in line with your anatomy and will be marked where possible.

 

If you believe your piercing was performed incorrectly, you are in accordance with your consumer rights, able to notify the studio in writing within 30 days and we will re-do the piercing for you with a reduced service charge.

Do you sell all the aftercare products I’ll need?

I do indeed.

 

NeilMed Piercing Aftercare saline spray is isotonic, drug free, preservative free, no burning or stinging. Sterile saline solution that cleanses minor wounds and scrapes without any burning or stinging. Sprays in any position, including when inverted. Ideal for all piercings.

 

Can I bring my own jewellery?

Simply put, No!

We will not insert any jewellery bought online or in another studio as we cannot accept responsibility for breakages and we cannot verify the metal quality or hygiene of these items. There are certain exceptions to this, please discuss with me before bringing it in.

What kind of jewellery do you use?

We pierce with implant grade titanium and Niobium. We can also pierce with 14K and 18K gold. We are are extremely selective, not only with the materials we use, but with the surface finish and overall craftsmanship of the jewellery too. Whether you opt for a simple titanium item or a solid gold item the overall standard of product we supply does not change.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Cash is preferred, but I happily accept card payments and bank transfers.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Absolutely I do, available in the studio, these are cash only products and available all year round.

Is there anything I should do to prepare?

  • Make sure you have had something to eat or drink approximately 1 hour prior to your appointment.

  • Do not abuse drugs or alcohol before your appointment.

  • Do not get pierced if you are about to go on a holiday where you may be swimming or not have access to clean running water.

  • Do not get pierced if you know you may have to remove your jewellery before it has healed for work/school purposes.

Can I bring someone with me while I get pierced?

Absolutely, your comfort is very important.

How old do you need to be to get a piercing?

Piercing is 18+ with valid photo I.D.

The Photo ID we accept:

 

  • Provisional & Full Driving Licenses

  • Passports 

  • Citizenship Cards

  • Any Photo ID with the Government approved ‘PASS’ Hologram.


We will not accept Pictures of ID on Phones, Birth Certificates or Bank Cards.

​

If you fail to produce the correct ID on the day of your appointment you will forfeit your appoint and your pre-payment as it's down to you to make sure you bring along the correct ID to your appointment, this is advised when you are booking, in your booking confirmation and on your reminder email.

​

No Under 18s allowed in the studio
